Echocardiography (Echo) | Heart Ultrasound in Jordan
Echocardiography (Echo) is a non-invasive ultrasound examination of the heart that provides detailed information about the structure and function of the heart.
It can assess the heart chambers, heart muscle, heart valves and the pumping function of the heart. Doppler echocardiography can also evaluate blood flow through the heart and valves.
Echocardiography may be recommended for patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness, swelling of the legs, heart murmurs or suspected heart disease.
It is an important examination for the diagnosis and follow-up of conditions such as heart valve disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy and other structural heart conditions.
The examination is painless, does not use radiation and is generally completed within a short period of time.
Dr. Ghassan Shawabkeh provides comprehensive cardiac evaluation and interprets echocardiographic findings in conjunction with the patient's symptoms, clinical examination and other cardiac investigations when needed.
